Training & Development
All training programmes are provided at your site. You can choose from a variety of courses or alternatively training programmes can be designed on request.
All training workshops are flexible & can be 1, 2 or 3 day’s in length. The duration of each course will depend on the volume of practical application required and the experience of the staff.
Johnson Health Tech work in partnership with a team of professional Fitness Coaches & Consultants in order to provide you with a varied & comprehensive choice of workshops & training programs.
Fitness Equipment Installation Training
Johnson Health Tech provides equipment induction training as standard. You can be reassured that your team will receive full operator knowledge for each CV & Strength unit whether you have purchased one or twenty new pieces of equipment.
The amount of time taken with the installation training depends entirely on the needs of any particular site. Either the Installation Team or the Field Sales Manager for the particular area performs the training.
The topics covered during the equipment Induction training include:
- Equipment V’s exercise physiology.
- Product information in relation to the development of MATRIX & JOHNSON fitness equipment.
- Safe and effective programming.
- Preventative maintenance and cleaning
- Warranty information
- How to log a service call
This training will be made available for all interested staff, but must include all of the primary management team for the facility.
Staff Training for sites will be provided, free of charge, on any occasion after installation. This is particularly useful in updating new staff or refreshing existing staff. On completion of the installation training, we will provide you with a comprehensive Warranty & Maintenance guide.
NB: It is the responsibility of the facility manager to ensure that all relevant staff are available for this workshop.
Fitness Instructor Training:
Johnson Health Tech’s training programme ensures that the club/centre exhibits a professional approach to the launch of the new facilities & it’s members.
This course covers all aspects of fitness Instruction as well as providing the instructor with additional information on general health & nutrition. The course is instructed onsite at a date to fit with your calendar. All attendants are issued with a course manual. & certificate of attendance.

Fitness Specific Workshops
YOUTH TRAINING:
Covering underpinning knowledge, benefits of strength training, programme design, practical application, children’s ages defined, stages in maturation, neural system, hormonal changes, high peak velocity, myths, current trends in youth and exercise.
SPEED AND AGILITY:
Covering underpinning knowledge, mechanics of movement, practical applications, warm up/down, speed drills, agility drills, work rate factors, sport specific drills/concepts.
OLYMPIC LIFTING:
Covering underpinning knowledge, mechanics of movement, practical applications, technique of olympic lifting, rate of force development, sport specific drills/concepts.
POWER TRAINING
Covering underpinning knowledge, strength and power applications, plyometrics, technique of movement, sport specific drills/concepts.
CORE STABILITY
Covering underpinning knowledge, exercise and health applications, mechanics of core control, sport specific drills/concepts, integrated abdominal training.
Facility Design:
We are able to provide a comprehensive Facility Design Service.
Every gymnasium is different and the layout of the equipment can make or break an atmosphere and feeling within the area. Style look at each site individually and, through expertise and experience, will ensure the ideal layout is achieved. The factors considered in planning the gymnasium floor layout for new facilities include:
- Ease and safety of use for all users and staff.
- The size of the area designated for gym use.
- Whether or not the facility will be staffed.
- Create a non-intimidating environment for the first time user and de-conditioned member.
- Maximise the visual impact for a prospective user on a show round.
- Target usage levels.
- User profiles including number of males versus females and target age groups.
Auto-CAD:
Every Account Manager has Auto Cad LT loaded onto their laptop and have been fully trained in it’s use and application. This system is the industry standard for design and architectural companies. This enables the whole gymnasium design process to run very efficiently.
This system provides a very professional 2D layout, which can be included within proposals, presentations and pre-sale displays.
The added advantage of using the Auto Cad LT system is that whenever necessary the 2D Cad gymnasium layout can be reformatted to a full colour 3D Visual. Virtual Walk-through Imagery can also be provided to further enhance a presentation or pre-sale display within a facility.

Fitness Suite Safety Signage:
There is an ever increasing demand for clubs & centres to improve their health & safety procedures & practices within their fitness facilities.
Johnson Health Tech UK have produced a series of wall mounted signs to provide your gym users with the right information to exercise safely.
Signage can be produced on a variety of backgrounds & finishes to suit your budget.
Signage can be branded to suit your colour scheme & you have the option to insert your own logo. We have designed template with a polished aluminium type background with a black overprint for the lettering.
The majority of the signs are wall mounted & are supplied with a heavy duty backing adhesive.
Promotional Merchandise:
Johnson Health Tech UK can provide a wide range of promotional merchandise. All of the promotional fitness products have been designed & manufactured to survive the daily wear & tear of the fitness enthusiast! The promotional products can be given to potential enquirers to help you sell / promote membership or used for resale to create an additional income stream for your centre or club.
